Kevin De Bruyne Illness And Health Update

Due to Kevin De Bruyne illness, Manchester City had to play without their star midfielder in the Champions League game against RB Leipzig. 

Aymeric Laporte and John Stones were among those who could not travel to Germany, joining the Belgian. Maximo Perrone, who came from Argentine side Velez Sarsfield in January, is one of the 22 members of the traveling squad. 

De Bruyne played 88 minutes of City’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, which Laporte played the entire game. Stones is currently healing from a thigh injury.

According to Guardiola, De Bruyne and Laporte were absent from the trip due to illness. He continued by saying that he was still determining whether either player would be available for Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth.

When Will De Bruyne Be Available?

After moving to Manchester City from German club Wolfsburg in 2015, the Belgian midfielder has established himself as one of the best players in the world. He has established a reputation as a playmaker who helped City win the Premier League title in 2018. He has previously played for Chelsea and Genk.

Aymeric Laporte is unlikely to play for Manchester City when they travel to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, but Kevin should be available.

Due to illness, both players missed the Champions League match at RB Leipzig during the week, and Pep Guardiola could not confirm if they would be available for Bournemouth earlier in the week.

Guardiola provided an update on his City team, including on essential players De Bruyne and Laporte, before departing on another lengthy journey.

Having KDB back on time for the PL fixtures will mean a lot to Pep, as he is one of the most trusted players in his lineup.
