The famous rapper Kiernan Forbes was shot and killed outside a famous restaurant in the eastern city of Durban on Friday night.
His family confirmed the news, and they revealed he was shot dead in a drive-by shooting on a Florida road. As per his family statement, Forbes was due to perform at a Durban nightclub on Friday as part of his birthday celebration.
Similarly, he shared snaps of himself on Instagram hours before the incident. The reports claim that one of his close friends was also shot fatally, and his bodyguard was injured.
The latest reports have confirmed that AKA and his close friend, Tebello Motsoane, were shot. Tebello was a chef and entrepreneur.
Likewise, the pair is suspected of having been on their way to a nightclub when they were shot. The reporters told the BBC news that Forbes and Tebello were walking to their car when they were called by two armed men who shot them at close range.

The late rapper Kiernan Forbes was never married. However, he had a daughter named Kairo Olwethu Forbes from his ex-girlfriend, DJ Zinhle, with whom he started dating in 2014.
In 2021, he was engaged to Nelli Tembe on 21 February 2021. The rapper announced his engagement by sharing a picture on his Instagram handle.
