According to prosecutors, she allegedly poisoned him with a lethal dose of fentanyl at their home in March 2022.
According to court records, on March 4, police were called to the couple’s home on Willow Court, where they found Eric Richins’ body on the floor at the foot of his bed.
Richins reportedly told police that they were celebrating the sale of a House and that she had made her husband a Moscow Mule vodka drink which she brought to him in their bedroom.
Richins reported to the police that she went to bed after giving her husband a drink and slept with one of her children, who was having a night terror.
Later, around 3 a.m., she returned to her and her husband’s bedroom and found Eric cold to the touch. After his *****, she wrote a children’s book on grief called “Are You With Me?”.
The medical examiner later found that Eric Richins had five times the lethal dosage of fentanyl in his system.
Court records revealed that Eric had previously told friends and family that he believed his wife was trying to poison him.
In addition to the ****** charge, Kouri faces charges involving the alleged possession of GHB, a drug that can be used for recreational purposes.
The charges came just two months after Kouri appeared on a local TV segment promoting her book on grief.
A detention hearing is scheduled for May 19.
