Kyle Sambrook: Missing Man and Dog Found Dead

On February 18, Kyle Sambrook, and his dog, who were wild camping in the Scottish Highlands went missing.

A desperate search was launched when they failed to return home to Featherstone, West Yorkshire, on Tuesday.

As per reports, Kyle and Bane were last observed in The Lost Valley region of Glencoe in northwest Scotland.

A week-long search for Sambrook was conducted by law enforcement, the Search and Rescue Dog Association, the Inverness coastguard helicopter, and members of the Glencoe, Lochaber, Oban, Arran, and RAF Leeming Mountain rescue teams.

Mountain rescue personnel and the Coast Guard located their remains on Saturday afternoon. They both were discovered in a valley 2,625 feet above sea level on the 3632-foot-tall Stob Coire nam Beith.

Sambrook may have been carrying his dog when he fell about 100 feet in appalling conditions, according to Brian Bathurst, deputy team leader of the Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team.

Sambrook was properly equipped for hiking, according to the rescuers, and was carrying a tent and other items. On his trip, they think he intended to climb the 3,353-foot Buachaille Etive Mr mountain.

There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances, the authorities said in the Kyle Sambrook death case.

Rescuers added that it took them more than six hours to bring his body on a stretcher back from the mountains.

Kyle’s family thanked everybody involved in the search and requested their privacy be respected at this difficult time.

One of the four people who discovered the dead on Saturday was deputy team leader Brian Bathurst.

Brian stated that Sambrook might have tried to get off the hill and got a little lost because of the awful weather and heavy winds at the time of his fall.

He further added It appears that carrying the dog, along with all the other conditions, may have been a significant contributing factor to the accident, which tragically resulted in their deaths.

Kyle and Bane have been together since Bane was a puppy, and their relationship is incredibly close.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t their first time traveling together. The man and his best friend have made extensive trips throughout Europe’s tallest hills.

With Bane and his girlfriend, they recently had a successful journey to Scafell Pike, the highest natural peak in England.
