American Idol Contestant Laine Hardy Arrest And Charge

Last year, Laine Hardy was arrested after the American Idol contestant was allegedly spying on a woman.

The interception and disclosure of wire, electronic, or oral communications is a violation of Section 15:1303 and led to the booking of Hardy into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

The vocalist got in the queue to be charged with a fine of up to $10,000 and/or a two- to 10-year jail term.

The arrest warrant states that on April 6, a lady and her roommate discovered a recording device inside their dorm room.

The victim informed LSU police about the discovery the following day. The gadget, which resembled a phone charger, was discovered by the woman under her futon, according to the arrest warrant.

The lady informed the police that she thought Hardy, her ex-boyfriend, had planted the device there earlier since he seemed to be aware of facts about her life even though she hadn’t told him about them.

The warrant stated that the police later discovered proof of covert recordings made over 10 days in February.

The warrant further said that Hardy, a non-student at LSU, had admitted to the lady that he bugged the room while making up the story that he dropped the gadget into a pond. Later, it was revealed that Laine was working with investigators after his arrest.
