Dozens of local men, including several community leaders, were detained lately as part of a multi-agency prostitution bust at hotels in Frisco and Southlake.

According to Frisco Police, 23 arrests were made in their city. The 46 men included a volunteer firefighter, youth pastor, high school teacher and coach, and semi-professional hockey player.

Lewisville ISD verified to The Dallas Morning News on Tuesday that Flower Mound Marcus offensive coordinator Tim Morrison resigned after being arrested last week.

In an undercover prostitution operation, Morrison was one of 46 men detained in a raid this month in Frisco and Southlake, including a youth pastor and the operations director of a vast hospital network.

“When the district became aware of his arrest, Mr. Morrison was placed on administrative leave & subsequently submitted his resignation to the district last week,” Lewisville ISD director of communications Amanda Brim said in a statement.

“This is a legal problem unrelated to his position in our district, and we have received no evidence that the circumstances surrounding his arrest touched students.”

Why Was Lewisville Coach Tim Morrison Arrested? Sex Trafficking Sting Explored

Contrary to claims, Frisco Police uncovered no proof of local teenage sex trafficking during the operation and subsequent inquiry.

In exchange for money, they allegedly established internet arrangements to meet people for sex at hotels. According to Frisco Police, when the males arrived, they were interrogated by authorities and brought to the Collin County Jail.

In Texas, soliciting prostitutes is punishable by up to two years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Although the names of all 46 suspects have not been revealed, Marcus High School teacher and football coach Tim Morrison was among them, according to the Lewisville Independent School District.

According to the district, Morrison was placed on administrative leave following his arrest and eventually resigned. Lamarcus Strickland, a youth pastor in Fort Worth, was also arrested.

Because they are either underage or forced into the position, commercial sex workers are frequently victims of sex trafficking.

“We seek to disrupt this activity and provide assistance to human trafficking victims by connecting them to the advocates and resources they require by targeting individuals engaging in this crime,” said Lester Hayes, the HSI Dallas special agent in charge.

“The victims of these horrible crimes are treated like commodities, utilized to make as much money as possible, as fast as possible,” Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn continued.
