A student enrolled in the School of Medicine at St. George’s University (SGU) has been reported missing, the university has verified.  

According to a statement, the Royal Grenada Police Force and SGU’s Department of Public Safety (DPS) are collaborating closely. A thorough inquiry and search are in progress.  

The university administration has put in place the necessary safeguards, including the dispatch of the DPS Personnel Safety Patrol and K-9 trained canines as well as the notifying of the student’s emergency contact.

The alleged missing student’s privacy is respected, according to SGU, as is the privacy of everyone else. 

The Psychological Services Center at SGU offers support to students, faculty, and staff who have been impacted by these incidents. DPS will inform the pertinent authorities of any new developments.  

In the interim, the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) has stated that it is looking for Liam Fisher, 35, a Canadian citizen who is a medical student at St. George’s University and lives in True Blue, St. George, and has asked the public for help in finding him.

Early this morning, according to ACP Vannie Curwen, Officer in Charge of Crimes, law enforcement personnel and SGU residents gathered on the Marian hamlet where a thorough search is being conducted in an effort to locate Fisher.

Liam Fisher, a 35-year-old Canadian citizen who is currently a medical student at St. George’s University and dwells at True Blue, St. George, is wanted by Grenadan police, and they are asking for the public’s help in finding him.

He is of Caucasian ethnicity, about 5’11” tall, with a medium build, and a beard on his face.

On September 9, 2023, Mr. Fisher was last spotted at the Grenada Hash House Harriers run from the Marian Playing Field.
