Shortly after revealing the “J Christ” cover art, Lil Nas X posted again to clarify his intent. He said the picture was not meant to mock Jesus.
He pointed out that Jesus’s image has been used in art by people all over the world throughout history.
Further, he said the cover art is not a mockery; he simply continues the tradition of using religious imagery in art.
