He was raised in a working-class neighborhood right next to Baldwin Hills, known as the Black Beverly Hills in Los Angeles.
Lloyd Avery’s parents, Lloyd Sr. and Linda Avery welcomed them into this world with a quiet middle-class background.
While his dad, Lloyd Sr. was an electrician, a qualified plumber, and an expert carpenter who ran his own business, his mother, Linda was a homemaker. After the late 1980s, she began working in the bank sector.
Furthermore, Avery was raised alongside his brother, Ché Avery. The siblings were raised in a Christian home where their parents stressed the importance of a decent education.
The family enrolled them in school integration programs, with Lloyd attending Beverly Hills High School. He excelled at water polo and baseball there.

After Lloyd’s tragic death, his family conducted a private autopsy, which mentioned the death cause as blunt force injuries complicated by aspiration of blood.
The 1.5-inch abrasion on Avery’s temple, which was mentioned along with the damage to his skull, was described as “suggestive of either a strike due to a blow due to a flat surface such as a carpenter’s hammer or effect on a similar type surface.”
Avery’s death was a tragic loss, and his friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry mourned his passing.
John Singleton, the director of “Boyz n the Hood,” in which Lloyd played the role of Knucklehead, dedicated his film “Four Brothers” to Avery’s memory.

Lloyd Avery II was shot and killed outside his home in Hacienda Heights, Los Angeles County, California on September 4, 2005.
According to reports, Avery was talking with a group of people outside his house when a car pulled up, and someone inside the car opened fire on the group. He was hit several times and died at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department conducted an investigation into the shooting and Kevin Roby was charged with his death.
After strangling his cellmate Lloyd Avery, Kevin Roby, a convicted murderer and Satanist, who was already serving a life sentence for murder, received another life sentence.
According to sources inside the jail, on the evening of September 4, 2005, Avery and Roby got into a religious dispute that turned physical.
