Suspects Everette Lee, Casen Carver Kaivon, And Deondre Washington Arrested
Deputies said that four individuals were detained concerning the rape of LSU student Madison Brooks, which occurred before she was struck and murdered by a car.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office claims that Brooks was raped before her ***** on January 15 from being hit by an automobile.
Kaivon Deondre Washington, 18, and an unnamed 17-year-old were charged with third-degree rape. Everett Lee, 28, and Casen Carver, 18, were accused of seeing the third-degree rape for which they were arrested but not participating.
Carver reportedly told law enforcement that he and the other males visited Reggie’s Tavern, which is close to the LSU campus, and had beers there.
Likewise, Carver allegedly told detectives that Brooks and the 17-year-old were “hugging and strolling together.”
According to the warrant, he asserted that Brooks begged them to take him home. He stated that when Washington and the 17-year-old asked for it, Brooks consented to have intercourse with them.
According to the warrant, Carver told officers he “hated” having *** and believed Brooks was too drunk to realize she was consenting. He asserted that they abandoned Brooks along Burbank Drive, where she was later run over and murdered by a car.
Brooks was struck by a car on January 15 at roughly 3 am while standing in complete darkness. She was later pronounced dead in a hospital.
