Actor Mamukkoya from the Malayalam deceased on Wednesday at a Kozhikode hospital. The hospital where he received treatment said he passed at about 1.10 pm.

On Monday night in the Malappuram district, the 77-year-old Actor passed out while participating in a football tournament-related event.

He was taken right away to the hospital as he underwent a stroke. However, he couldn’t make it and passed away on Wednesday afternoon.

Mamukkoya was married to his wife, Suhara. However, the details about their marriage are not made public yet.

His parents are Chalikandiyil Muhammed and Imbachi Ayisha. However, we have no information on them except for their identity.

Mamukoya, a legendary Malayalam Actor who appeared in more than 400 films throughout a career spanning more than four decades, passed away on Wednesday.

Mamukoya was admitted to the hospital after having a heart ****** on Monday night.

In the ICU of Meitra Hospital, the 76-year-old legendary comic and character Actor was kept on ventilator support.

Around 8 pm on Monday, Mamukoya had a heart arrest while attempting to open the Pooongodu Janakeeya Sevens competition in Malappuram.

Before the inauguration, he began to feel queasy and sweaty, so he was sent to a private hospital in Wandoor.

Malayalam Actor And Comedian Mamukoya Career Achievements

Mamukkoya began his professional acting career in theater. Anyarude Bhoomi allowed him to work in the film industry.

His second introduction to Malayalam cinema was Surumaitta Kannukal by S. Konnanatt. After this movie, he met Sathyan Anthikkad, thanks to Actor and screenwriter Sreenivasan.

In Gandhinagar Second Street, he was cast in a role. He carved out a niche in Malayalam cinema by depicting Gafoor in Sathyan Anthikkad’s Mohanlal-Sreenivasan-starrer Nadodikkattu in 1987.

In Kerala, the figure of Gafoor has developed a cult following. Later, a cartoon series based on this character was made.

His critically acclaimed performance in Perumazhakkalam (2004) showed that he is equally adept at playing roles that aren’t comedic.

He reprised a similar role in Byari, which received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film.

He played the titular character in the 2001 film Korappan, the Great, in which he was portrayed as a forest brigand similar to Veerappan.

For the film, he earned a Special Mention in the Kerala State Film Award in 2004.
