Maon Kurosaki was a Japanese singer and songwriter known for contributing to various anime and video game soundtracks.

Art One Entertainment, the agency representing Maon Kurosaki, announced on Tuesday that the singer had passed away unexpectedly on February 16.

Her death was attributed to a deterioration of her chronic illness.

Maon Kurosaki’s death is not a lie or hoax; unfortunately, it happened. The noted young singer has passed away.

The singer signed with NBCUniversal Entertainment passed away on February 16, 2023, at 35.

Kurosaki began her music career in 2007 when she won the grand prize in the first annual Animax Anison Grand Prix, a singing competition for anime theme songs.

She made her major debut in 2010 with her single “H.O.T.D.,” the opening theme for the anime series “Highschool of the Dead.”

After that, Kurosaki contributed to the soundtracks much popular anime series, including “To Love-Ru,” “A Certain Magical Index,” “The Fruit of Grisaia,” and “Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya.”

She also performed theme songs for video games, such as “Tokyo Ravens” and “Date A Live.”

Did The Singer Die Of Illness? 

Yes, Maon Kurosaki’s death cause was revealed to be an epidural hematoma.

This condition causes bleeding between the skull and the membrane surrounding the brain.

Kurosaki had been battling the disease since September 2021 as she was diagnosed after collapsing during a live-streamed concert that day.

After Kurosaki collapsed in the middle of a concert, the singer was rushed to the hospital, and the show was soon suspended.

On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, the agency Art One Entertainment announced that Kurosaki had died unexpectedly due to worsening her chronic illness.

Fans and colleagues expressed their condolences and paid tribute to the talented singer on social media.
