Markku Ellala, aka King of Sastamala, was 69 years old at the time of his *****. The talented interior designer was born in 1954 in Ranua, Finland.
Ellala was one of the best-known interior design artists and the most visible royalist. Makku was a prominent personality, particularly in Sastamala in Pirkanmaa, where he had a villa he transformed into a royal villa.
As mentioned above, the late designer was both an interior designer and builder of the royal castle Villa Royal in Sastamala. Ellala’s house/villa has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.
It has been reported that the building which Ellala transformed into a royal villa used to be a school in Hyynilä’s Kortejärvi. The interior design artist reportedly began adapting to changing its design in 2003. The stunning villa has been open to the public since 2006.

Markku Ellala was married to his wife, Sirpa. The couple welcomed four children during their long marital life.
With his wife, Sirpa, Markku Ellala was a proud parent of four daughters. In addition, the designer was also a doting grandfather to his eight grandkids.
Ellala’s daughter, Mirva Puupponen, tells Tyrvään Sanomat that he completed his life’s work at the Villa Royal. Mirva also disclosed that the interior design artist was supposed to enjoy his retirement days and step away from the spotlight.
Ellala and his wife had an impressive collection of objects, which they reportedly collected for several decades. The collection was auctioned off with great enthusiasm a few months ago.
As a collector who was giving up his lifetime works, Ellala told a local media outlet that he was planning to open a fun cafe in his hometown, Ranua, this summer.
Markku also showcased his passion for royal interior designs and royalties through his Instagram account. The late artist has shared numerous stunning pictures of the Villa Royal in his social media post.
