Mel Gibson Mouth – A Dangerous Weapon To His Career?
On July 28th, 2006, Mel Gibson was arrested by Sheriff’s Deputy James Mee of the L.A County Sheriff’s Department for DUI (driving under the influence).
According to reports, the Oscar-winning Actor initially told the arresting officer that his life was over and Robyn would leave him. But, when the Police officer didn’t let him drive home, Mel reportedly burst into anger and began ranting.
As per the arrest reports, Mel Gibson said to the officer, “F–ing Jews… the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.” He questioned the officer, “are you a Jew?”
Later, when TMZ reported the incident, the Actor issued two apologies through his publicist.
The New York native confirmed the accuracy of the statements in a live interview with Diane Sawyer on television.
He also regretted his “despicable” actions, apologizing for the comments that he had “blurted out in a moment of insanity.”
In addition, the filmmaker requested to meet with Jewish authorities so they could guide him in “discovering the right pathway for healing.”
Mel’s spokesperson said that following his arrest, he had enrolled in a program to combat his alcoholism.
Mel Gibson’s Domestic Violence Against Oksana Grigorieva
In 2009, the Hacksaw Ridge director divorced his wife of three decades and got together with young model Oksana Grigorieva. The model got pregnant in October of the same year.
In January 2010, the Actor’s then-partner claimed that he punched her, giving her and broke her teeth. In the end, he admitted to misdemeanor violence.
After six months, Oksana dropped recordings, due to which Gibson became the subject of a domestic abuse investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
But the case was eventually closed when Gibson entered a plea of not guilty to a minor battery charge.
The filmmaker was on the Hollywood blacklist for almost ten years because of his controversial statements.
In 2014, the actors Robert Downey Jr. and Allison Hope Weiner argued for Gibson’s forgiveness.
The New York native’s 2016 movie Hacksaw Ridge amassed so much success that actors and agencies were ready to work with Gibson again.

However, it is unclear whether the Mad Max star underwent the knife. Mel was prepared to splurge on a facelift, as reported in the GLOBE magazine issue from December 15th.
The same publication explained that his saggy face and wrinkle affected his personal life.
