Yes, Moff Gideon dies in the finale of The Mandalorian. Moff Gideon battles Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) in an action-packed conclusion—meanwhile, Din and Grogu battle — and defeat – the Praetorian Guards.

As a spaceship approaches the base where they are fighting, Gideon orders Bo-Katan to surrender over her Darksaber in return for the ***** of a fighter.

Bo-Katan refuses and attacks him. He destroys the Darksaber, removes her mask, and prepares to kill her.

“Mandalorians are stronger together,” says Bo-Katan, as Din and Grogu approach, resulting in a three-on-one struggle as the spaceship crashes into the base.

A ball of flames engulfs the platform where Moff Gideon stands, killing him as sparks fly and the base crumbles.

Grogu used the Force to save Din Djarin and Bo-Katan after it almost wiped out the Mandalorians.

What Happened To Him In The Mandalorian Finale- Could He Return?

Although we don’t witness him pass away in the climax, Moff Gideon, as we know him ends there.

But during Season 3, we discovered he had made Force-infused copies of himself. These copies are destroyed in the middle of Episode 8.

The appeal of a clone, though, is that you can create as many as you like.
