Monique Olivier Is A Former Nurse

Monique Olivier, a name that sends chills down the spine of many, is the widow of the infamous serial killer Michel Fourniret.

Once a nurse, she is now known for her involvement in a series of heinous crimes.

The Netflix documentary, “Monique Olivier: Accessory to Evil,” chronicles the life of this woman, often compared to Rose West, another notorious female accomplice in the world of crime.

The five-episode series paints a chilling picture of Olivier’s life and her role in her husband’s crimes.

Despite being convicted for her complicity in five of Fourniret’s murders, the documentary portrays Olivier as a submissive wife, living in fear of her husband.

Moreover, Fourniret’s reign of terror came to an end in June 2003 when a brave 13-year-old girl escaped from his van and provided the police with his license plate number.

This led to his arrest, subsequently bringing Olivier’s dark secrets to light. In the aftermath of Fourniret’s arrest, Olivier confessed to everything.

She revealed to investigators that Fourniret had committed nine murders and admitted her involvement in several of them.

The victims met a gruesome end, either shot, stabbed with a screwdriver, or strangled.

The chilling tale begins with the death of Isabelle Laville. Soon after, 20-year-old Fabienne Leroy vanished in the woods of northeast France.

The discovery of her mutilated body marked the beginning of a horrifying pattern.

In 1989, Jean-Marie Desramault, a 22-year-old student, disappeared from a railway station.

Her remains were later found on a property owned by Fourniret, along with those of 12-year-old Elisabeth Brichet from Belgium, who had gone missing the same year.

The list of Fourniret’s victims continued to grow, including 13-year-old Natacha Danais, 30-year-old Farida Hellegouarch, and 18-year-old Celine Saison.

Further, each name added to the grim tally of lives brutally cut short.

Yet, the terror wrought by Fourniret did not end there. It is believed that he may be responsible for up to 21 additional murders.

Among these is the murder of Joanna Parrish, a 20-year-old language student from Leeds University, whose life was tragically ended in May 1990.

Olivier has been referred to as a “perfect accomplice” in Joanna Parrish’s murder case.
