Neil is the only player outside the U.K. to have completed snooker’s Triple Crown. He won the World Championship in 2010, the U.K. Championship in 2013, 2015, and 2020, and the Masters in 2012 and 2022.

The 40-year-old has won one or more professional tournaments every year since 2006, leading to a career total of 23 ranking titles.

Neil Robertson has one sibling: a younger brother named Marc Robertson. The two boys grew up together in Victoria, Melbourne, Australia.

The brothers are very close. Neil mentioned during an interview that his earliest memory is doing something naughty with Marc. When he was about three, the two broke eggs and flour onto the carpet to make a cake before their mother woke up.

The younger Robertson also had a stint in snooker. However, he is yet to gain public attention like Neil. He prefers to stay lowlife and private, and not much information about him is available online.

eBiography states that Marc currently works as a security equipment installer.

Neil is currently 40, whereas Marc’s age is not given. He is likely one or two years younger.

Neil is someone who values family a lot. He lives in Cambridge, England, away from his hometown, and tends to get homesick, missing his brother and parents.

In a sweet gesture, his then-fiancée Mille organized a surprise reunion with his Father, Ian. Being reunited with his dad ahead of the 2021 Cazoo Tour Championship was something he truly cherished.

Neil attended Norwood Secondary College in Ringwood, Victoria, and started his snooker career at 14, becoming the youngest player to make a century break in an Australian ranking event. 

He commenced his professional career at 16 and reached the third qualifying round of the 1999 World Championship a year later.

Neil now resides in Cambridge, England. While he has previously practiced at Leicester’s Willie Thorne’s snooker club and the Cambridge Snooker Centre, he is now based at W.T.’s Snooker and Sporting Club in Cambridge.

Neil met his Norwegian wife, Mille Katrine Wilberg Fjelldal, in 2008 and married her in August 2021.

The couple has two children: 12-year-old son Alexander and 3-year-old daughter Penelope. 12 May 2010. 16 March 2019.

Both spouses are proud and supportive of each other. Neil has opened up about supporting Mille through her struggles with depression and anxiety while also realizing how these issues had affected his commitment to professional snooker.

Neil has been a vegan since 2014, inspired by the advice of fellow snooker professional Peter Ebdon and his admiration for vegan track and field athlete Carl Lewis.

Besides, he is an avid supporter of Chelsea F.C. and good friends with former Chelsea defender and captain John Terry.
