Tracci Dial is departing NonStop Local Tri-Cities/Yakima at the end of May after more than a decade as the welcoming face and voice for viewers throughout the Tri-Cities and Yakima communities.

Tracci’s career began in Lewiston, Idaho, before moving to the Tri-Cities and Yakima in 2012.

Tracci Dial is a native of the Pacific Northwest who graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in 2010. She got her first reporting position at KRLC (1350 AM) in Lewiston, Idaho, when she was 19.

Dial began her career in television as a production assistant at KLEW News in 2007. She continued at the station until 2012 when she learned a variety of talents.

Tracci Dial hasn’t looked back since joining the N.B.C. Right Now Local News team at KNDO/KNDU 2012. Many people like her job as a Journalist during the day and an anchor at night.

Is She Leaving TV Journalism?

So far, the anchor has garnered several distinctions. In 2019, she was named best TV anchor at the Tri-Cities People’s Choice Awards.

In 2020, she was named the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce’s ATHENA Young Professional of the Year. That same year, she was named District Communicator of the Year by the National Speech and Debate Association.

Her ongoing Dialed-In series, where she interviews significant local and national leaders, has been warmly appreciated. She also presents the Biggest Small Town in the Northwest podcast.

The anchor, however, has announced her resignation from NBC Right Now. Tracci Dial is leaving KNDU/KNDO to pursue a new career opportunity.

She will now be the news director for Northwest Public Broadcasting, Washington State University’s public radio and television program.

Tracci Dial will continue to work at KNDU/KNDO until the end of May 2023.

She will, however, remain in the Tri-Cities/Yakima region for her new position, which will be a comfort to her long-time fans and supporters.
