Adam Bandt is a former industrial lawyer who entered into politics and quickly climbed up the ranks to become the leader of the Australian Greens.
He previously served as the deputy leader of the Greens from 2012 to 2015 and from 2017 to 2020.
Following the resignation of Richard Di Natale in February 2020, Bandt was appointed the leader of the Greens.
He has been the federal Member of Parliament for Melbourne since 2010.

Adam Bandt gay rumors are completely false as the politician is married to a woman and has kids.
The 51-year-old is often rumored to be gay. But those speculations are baseless and hence are falsified.

The rumors spread because he remarked on gay pride flags several years ago.
In 2016, the Greens MP launched a crowdfunding campaign to buy schools gay pride flags in the wake of the Australian government’s dramatic changes to the LGBTI anti-bullying program.
After the government gutted the Safe School program, Bandt launched the rainbow flag appeal to support the campaign.
This led to many people assuming that Adam Bandt gay rumors were true. However, he just voiced his solidarity in the movement and is not gay.

Adam Bandt is married to Claudia Perkins, and the couple is the parents of two children.
Claudia is a former Labor staffer who left her job to raise the family with two kids. She currently works as a part-time yoga teacher.
Adam told in an interview with The Design Files that when he is out of Melbourne for work, he often Facetimes his wife and daughters.

The couple often goes out with their daughters, Wren, 7, and Elke, 5, to have a fun time.

Adam Bandt was born to Allan Bandt and Moira Bandt on 11 March 1972 in Adelaide, Australia.
His father, Allan, was a social worker who later ran a human resources consultancy.
His mother, Moira, born in England, is a teacher and a school principal who arrived in Australia as a Ten Pound Pom.
Bandt is of Barossa German and English descent. He moved to Perth at ten and attended Hollywood Senior High School.

He graduated in 1996 from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Arts and Laws degree.
Adam was a bright student who received the Sir Ronald Wilson Prize for Academic Achievement for his academic performance and leadership.
