She said, “It’s so funny, I’ve had lesbians say to me, ‘You are a lesbian,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m so confused, I don’t think I am, but maybe I am?’ I don’t give it much thought.”

She added, “But I don’t mind being called a lesbian. There have been times in my life where I’ve thought, ‘I wish I were a lesbian.'”

Melanie C Talks About LGBT Rights

Melanie has been a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. Melanie released a track, High Hells expressing her love for the LGBTQ+ community.

She explains, “High Heels was inspired by the time I spent with my gorgeous friends at Sink The Pink.”

“High Heels is also a frivolous riot of a song, encapsulating an amazing night out and everything that goes into getting yourself ready for it!” she added.

Melanie was blown away by the warmth and togetherness environment at the club. She said anyone could be themselves at the club, whoever they are, while feeling utterly relaxed about being themselves.

Melanie has publically spoken for the LGBTQ+ community and openly supports trans-inclusivity. During her speech, she calls institutions and the government to address the inequality in LGBTQ+.

On December 26, Melanie C canceled her New Year’s Eve performance in Poland through Twitter after she was made aware of the issue, not to align with the communities she supports.

She writes, “In light of some issues that have been brought to my attention that do not align with the communities I support, I’m afraid I will no longer be able to perform in Poland as planned on New Year’s Eve. I

hope to be back there very soon. I hope you’re all having a wonderful Christmas. Best wishes for 2023. Melanie xxx.”

While she did not explain more about the issue, members of the LGBTQ+ community praised her. She was called a “hero” and an “ally.”
