The skilled female baseball player Olivia Pichardo was born to her parents, Monita Pichardo and Max Pichardo. She has one sister, Nirvana Pichardo.

Pichardo hails from an athletic family. Both of her parents were involved in sports in the past. Her father, Max, grew up playing baseball. On the other hand, her mother, Monita, played basketball during high school.

Also, the Brown University freshman’s sister, Nirvana, is into sports and plays volleyball. Olivia and her sibling seem to have inherited the love for sports from their parents.

The Queens, New York native has been athletic virtually her whole life. She used to hit a wiffle ball, which she referred a squishy bat.

In an interview, the young baseball player’s father revealed that he was so obsessed with the sports that he would rather play than eat. Max said he was in shock because he never imagined he would be a baseball dad.

“But it worked out that way. I couldn’t be happier,” added Olivia’s father.

Olivia Pichardo attended Garden School in Queens, where she excelled in basketball and volleyball. She was also a New York Crush and Next Level baseball clubs member.

She played for USA Baseball’s Women’s National Team this summer. She also participated in other collegiate baseball camps, but not at Brown.

She emailed Achilles after being accepted academically by Brown, sending him baseball highlight tapes. On walk-on tryout day this past fall, Pichardo and a male player competed for a spot on the team.

As the first female baseball player in the NCAA Division I Baseball league, Olivia Pichardo has inspired many young girls who want to pursue a career in baseball.

The Brown University student-athlete disclosed that she gets many messages from young girls asking for advice on their own baseball journeys.

Olivia said she plays baseball because she loves it. “However, it motivates me, even more to keep going and be the best player I can be because there are young girls who look up to me,” she remarked.

“Sometimes I forget what an honor it is to be a pioneer in women’s baseball.” The messages I get from girls remind me of the part I’m playing,” Olivia Pichardo added.

Her parents and siblings must be proud of her. Pichardo is still in the early stage of her career. She is yet to accomplish several great things.
