He is accused of posting derogatory remarks about Jews on the Cornell University part of an internet discussion forum between October 28 and 29, 2023.

Together with the assistance of the Ithaca and Cornell University police departments, he was taken into custody by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents on October 31, 2023, at his Ithaca apartment.
