After hearing her perform in a café, Paul van Vliet and Floor Kist—both Leiden students—asked her whether she wanted to participate in the Leidsch Studenten Cabaret, which they had organized.
Throughout those years, she performed with this group to great acclaim domestically and overseas.
Later, she wed Paul van Vliet, and the four of them established Theater PePijn in The Hague along with pianist Rob van Kreeveld, Ferd Hugas, and Judith Bosch.
They turned it into a little 110-seat theater even though it was previously a warehouse.
Later, when describing this time, Gerritsen remarked, “Sold out every night, never in bed before six in the morning!
Everything we did, including the performance, the coffee, the bar after the performance, and the cleaning and dishwashing after the audience had finally left, was done by us.”
Then, the couple divorced in the early 1980s. In the 1980s, Gerritsen chose a different path: she started giving lectures and lectures based on her work.
Although she liked this, she recorded another CD in 2004: “Liselore NU,” with music by Bart Wolvekamp. She died on December 2, 2020.
Soon after their divorce in the early 1980s, Paul remarried Lidewij de Iongh in 1983. They organized the wedding in a private ceremony, and few knew about it.
