The small town of Baltingass was rocked by grief this morning when word spread that popular local lad Pauric Brady had passed away on Wednesday night at the age of just 18 following a brief fight with cancer.

Pauric Brady, the older brother of Ronan and the son of Avril and Martin Brady, was deeply ingrained in the Baltinglass community.

He left a lasting impression on the students and teachers at Scoil Chonglais and Baltinglass Town AFC, where he had been a player, coach, and cherished friend.

When the Bradys learned that Pauric, who turned 18 last November, had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, their world was turned upside down in December of the previous year.

Family And Fans Mourn The Loss Of Pauric Brady

Pauric expressed his “overwhelming gratitude” to everyone for their kindness and that he was “overwhelmed” by the amount of support the campaign has gotten.

Baltinglass Town AFC’s social media page led the tributes to Pauric’s brief but happy life, writing in a post: “It is with great grief that we announce the demise of our friend, comrade, and coach Pauric Brady earlier tonight.

His memories will endure in our hearts forever. He will be sadly lost and cherished in the hearts of everyone at the club.

Avril, Martin, and Ronan have our sincere sympathies and our greatest compassion. His extended relatives and acquaintances are also included. Peace be upon him.
