Penny was wed twice in her lifetime. Once to Actor Michael Henry from 1961 to 1963 and another filmmaker Rob Reiner from 1971 to 1981.

Marshall met Michael Henry while attending the University of New Mexico for college on a football scholarship. They were married in November 1963 when she fell pregnant at 19.

They welcomed daughter Tracy in 1964 after she left school to work as a secretary, Marshall revealed Newsweek in an interview from 2012.

Marshall and Henry did, however, part ways by 1966. After relocating to Colorado, Henry got remarried and had a second daughter.

In 1971, Marshall wed Actor/director Rob Reiner. Despite Marshall and Reiner’s divorce in 1981, Tracy is still referred to as “Tracy Reiner” because he formally adopted her.
