According to detectives, the accusations are related to the deaths of a child under two and a Workington, England, four-month-old boy who died in October 2021.
They were both remanded into Police custody and will both make their court appearances in Carlisle later on December 14.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police stated: “In connection with the investigation into the ***** of a four-month-old boy from Workington, two people have been charged.
“Reece Kelly, 30, of Workington, has been charged with two charges: child neglect and ******.
Georgia Wright, 22, of Workington, has been charged with two counts of child neglect and Causing or Allowing a Child to Die.
Both have been detained in Police custody and are scheduled to appear in court on December 14 in Carlisle on accusations of the deaths of a child under two and a four-month-old infant who died in October 2021.
“Cumbria Constabulary wants to notify everyone that there are active criminal procedures. It is crucial that there be no online reporting, commentary, or information sharing that would jeopardize ongoing proceedings.
