Wallasey Pub Shooting: Is Rock Ferry Arrested?

Officials investigating the murder of Elle Edwards have arrested and released a person in connection with her fatal shooting.

A 19-year-old woman from Rock Ferry, kept for the suspicion of conspiracy to murder, has been bailed.

It comes after the victim’s family described Ms. Edwards as “the most beautiful and bright star” during a Friday press conference.

Her Father, Tim Edwards, said, “There was no one as beautiful as our Elle May… the way she lit up a room as soon as she walked in.”

Sue Coombs, Merseyside Police detective superintendent, read Tim’s statement on behalf of the family.

Merseyside Police appealed for information about a dark-colored Mercedes car in the pub car park used in the attack.

In addition to the murder of Ms. Edwards, four men were injured and taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds from the incident.

Three of them have been discharged, while a 28-year-old from Beechwood, Wirral, was critically hurt, but fortunately, his condition is no longer life-threatening.

Where Is The Third Suspect Now: Jail Or Prison?

A person who is the third suspect in the pub shooting of Elle Edwards is not in prison. He has been freed on bail.

The 31-year-old man from Tranmere, Wirral, had been held on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. However, he has now been released pending further inquiries.

He was the third suspect, with two other people who were also held over the beautician’s death. However, no one has been charged yet.

A 30-year-old man from Tranmere, held on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, has been reinvited to prison on license.

Elle Edwards, 26, was shot outside The Lighthouse in Wallasey, Wirral, shortly before midnight on December 24.

She died after the preparator(s) fired several shots toward the pub entrance at about 23:50 GMT on Christmas Eve.

She was shot in the head as she celebrated Christmas with friends, taking her last breath in the hospital.

Authorities believe she was not the intended target of the attack. Daily Mail reports that the innocent beautician was caught in the crossfire and shot ‘after gangster was tipped off about rival drug dealer’ at the pub.

Around 20 members of Ms. Edward’s family attended prayers for her at a catholic church on Saturday, December 31.

They went to Holy Apostles and Martyrs in Wallasey, where prayers were said, and candles were lit for the victim and the community to “come together.”

The church’s Canon Philip Moor, whose nephew and niece were also at the pub at the time of the shooting, stated the community was “extremely shocked.”

“It is saddened, devastated, but I would say the community is hurting at the moment,” he said. “We want to reach out to start the process of healing.”

Two other churches, St Nicholas and Wallasey Village URC, were also open so people could pray for Ms. Edwards and her family.
