Ruben Studdard’s death hoax has been spreading on the internet for quite a while. However, the rumors turned out to be false, and Ruben Studdard is indeed alive.

Studdard rose to fame after he won the second season of the singing reality show American Idol.

He has released seven studio albums, including the platinum-selling debut album, Soulful, and the hit gospel follow-up, I Need an Angel.

Some of Studdard’s hit singles include “Flying Without Wings,” “Sorry 2004,” and “Change Me.”

He was also seen as Fats Waller, the legendary American jazz musician, in the national tour revival of the musical revue, Ain’t Misbehavin,’ spawning a Grammy-nominated soundtrack.

The 44-year-old made his Broadway debut in December 2018 at the Imperial Theater with Ruben & Clay’s First Annual Christmas Carol Family Fun Pageant Spectacular Reunion Show.

Ruben Studdard Alive: Death Hoax Debunked

The American Ido winner’s death news spread over the internet in January 2023.

However, Studdard is confirmed to be alive and doing what he does best: singing. He is pretty active on social media and just uploaded content on his Instagram account.

On Monday, January 16, 2023, Studdard was in Cerritos, California, to perform songs by Luther Vandross to honor the memory of Martin Luther King Jr.

The 2003 Idol winner posted a clip of the concert on his Instagram the same day, signifying that he is alive and doing well.

Hence, the Ruben Studdard death hoax is proved to be false, as he is alive and performing for his fans.

Nevertheless, Studdard was in the middle of another internet death hoax a decade ago.

There were many reports in 2010 that the Change Me singer was dead. Unfortunately, the rumors spread so much that the singer had to address them.

In November 2010, the singer posted on his Twitter profile, “And I’m Alive yall I hate stupid rumors.”

Since then, rumors of Studdard’s death have been circulating on the internet now and then. However, all those hoaxes are false, and the beloved singer is very well.
