Ryan Reesor was married to Amy Reesor. Amy is a teacher at Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB). Ryan and Amy are the parents of two kids- Anna and Anson.

From 2008 to 2021, Ryan served as a Multi-Discipline Shift Training Instructor for the City of Toronto.

In this role, he worked in rope rescue, confined space rescue, ice water rescue, swift water rescue, heavy lift and move, personal entrapment, and chainsaw operation.

Similarly, Ryan also held significant positions within the Municipality of Algonquin Highlands.

He served as the Chief Training Officer from 2010 to 2013, overseeing and leading training initiatives.

Prior to that, from 2004 to 2010, he was a Station Training Captain, where he played a crucial role in training and mentoring fellow firefighters.

From 1995 to 2010, Ryan served as an Operations Captain, contributing significantly to operational management and firefighting activities in the Algonquin Highlands.

Ryan’s passion for sharing his expertise led him to serve as an Instructor in Fire and Emergency Services at Humber College from 2003 to 2007.

At the college, he imparted his knowledge and experience to aspiring firefighters, helping them develop the necessary skills for their future careers.

Reesor’s journey in firefighting began as a Fire Suppression Crew Member with the Ministry of Natural Resources from 1995 to 1999.

During this time, he gained valuable experience in fire suppression operations, setting the foundation for his successful career in the field.
