Sarah Hyland dated Matt Prokop for four years, from 2010 to 2014. It was later learned that Matt physically and verbally abused Sarah throughout the relationship.
The two reportedly first met in 2008, during an audition for High School Musical 3, where Matt got the role of Jimmie, but Sarah didn’t get selected.
Later, the two became co-stars in Geek Charming, a 2011 Disney Channel original film. Sarah portrayed a pretty, popular girl, and Matt played the role of her knight in shining armor.
While Matt was making a name for himself as a teen idol through Disney, Sarah gained fame in the sitcom world with the Emmy-winning Modern Family.
