Sarah Stern Death: Killed By Liam McAtasney At Her Home In Neptune City
After months of searching for Sarah, authorities got a breakthrough when they arrested two of her acquaintances and former classmates.
Even though Sarah Stern’s body was never found, two men, Liam McAtasney and Preston Taylor were captured and charged with her murder.
Liam McAtasney and Preston Taylor were detained on February 1, 2017, in connection with Sarah’s missing person investigation.

As the case progressed into a homicide investigation, McAstney was charged with robbery and murder, while Taylor was arrested for his role as the former’s accomplice.
According to prosecution testimony, McAstney and Taylor plotted Sarah’s robbery and killing months earlier.
The two learned in September 2016 that the late victim got a substantial sum of money from her late mother.
McCartney strangled Sarah on the night she vanished to deprive her of the wealth given to her.
He and Taylor took the victim’s automobile to Shark River and disposed of her corpse in the river to make it look like she had committed suicide.
Taylor, meanwhile, was convicted of robbery and other related offenses for her role as McAstney’s accomplice. McCartney was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of release on June 28, 2019, while Taylor was ordered to serve

Was Liam McAtasney Sentenced To Life Without Parole For Murdering his Friend Sarah Stern?
Liam McAtasney was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of release for murdering his childhood friend Sarah Stern in December 2016 and having his old roommate assist him in throwing her body over a New Jersey bridge.
McAtasney was also sentenced to ten years in prison for defiling human remains. That sentence will be read in order.
McAtasney was found guilty on all seven counts against him in February, including first-degree murder, conspiracy, desecrating human remains, tampering with evidence, and other crimes.
According to investigators, he strangled 19-year-old Stern, his high school classmate, in December 2016 and enlisted her prom companion and former roommate, Preston Taylor, to assist in tossing her body down a bridge in Belmar, New Jersey. Stern’s corpse was never discovered.
Prosecutors said McAtasney murdered Stern to obtain thousands of dollars that belonged to her mother, who died of Cancer in 2013.
McAtasney allegedly plotted Stern’s killing for six months to obtain money from her lock box, which he believed was loaded with cash.
Sarah’s Father, Michael Stern, made an emotional impact statement while wearing a purple blouse, his daughter’s favorite color. He stated that his life has been in chaos.
