Creative Technology Company released a statement on January 5, announcing the demise of the chairman and CEO, Sim Wong Hoo.
According to the statement, Wong Hoo passed away peacefully on January 4. The statement expressed sorrow and grief on behalf of all the Creative staff.
Following the demise of its CEO and Chairman, the company announced the transition phase and new elects in those posts.
Creative announced Lee Kheng Nam, the Lead Independent Non-Executive Director, as the acting Chairman and Ng Kai Wa as the acting Vice Chairman.
Also, the board appointed Song Siow Hui, the President of the Company’s Creative Labs Business Unit, as the interim CEO.
