Steve Harwell Suicide Rumours: Is It True?

According to his manager, Steve Harwell, the former lead singer of the rock band Smash Mouth, passed away on Monday. He was 56 years old at the time of his death.

Harwell had been receiving hospice care over the weekend, however, no specific cause of death was given.

According to Robert Hayes, the manager of Smash Mouth, he passed away at his home in Boise, Idaho, with family and friends by his side.

Steve Harwell, a former frontman for Smash Mouth, passed away on Monday morning, according to his manager Robert Hayes. 

The “All-Star” singer was receiving hospice care at his home because he had cardiomyopathy and liver failure.

Sept. 3, 5:44 PM: According to TMZ, former Smash Mouth frontman Steve Harwell is currently receiving hospice care at home while being looked after by his fiance. 

He has been suffering from heart disease and liver failure for some time. The information was confirmed by Robert Hayes, an agent for Harwell, to SFGATE on Sunday afternoon.

He said in an email that although Steve was still with them, “it will sadly only be for a short while.” “Our only additional request is that people respect Steve and his family’s privacy during this trying time,” I say.

The details regarding his depression have not been revealed yet but he might have had some health issues which are not confirmed.

A beer and wine festival was held at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York, in October 2021, during which the band gave a performance. 

Harwell, who appeared to be intoxicated, made threats to audience members and gave what appeared to be a Nazi salute. 

Harwell announced his retirement after the performance due to chronic health problems.
