As the lead singer of the Specials and previously of Fun Boy Three, the Colourfield, Terry, Blair & Anouchka, and Vegas, Terence Edward Hall was an English musician. 

He collaborated with several musicians, including David Stewart, Bananarama, the Lightning Seeds, SinĂ©ad O’Connor, Stephen Duffy, Dub Pistols, Gorillaz, Damon Albarn, D12, Tricky, Lily Allen, & Shakespears Sister. He also recorded two solo studio albums.

Terry Hall Illness Before Death

Neville Staple, a member of the band The Specials, recalled the late singer Terry Hall and stated the news of his passing had “struck him hard.”

On Monday, it was revealed that Hall, most known for being a part of the reggae group, had passed away at 63 after a brief illness.

The band paid tribute to their late bandmate in a statement, calling him “one of the most creative vocalists, songwriters, and lyricists this country has ever produced,” as well as a “wonderful friend, brother.”

Former group vocalist Staple recently shared his tribute to Hall. He started by saying: “This has hit me.”

“We were aware of Terry’s illness, but until lately, we didn’t realize how terrible it was. We had only recently confirmed a few joint music agreements for 2023.

The music industry has many ups and downs, but Terry and I will always have the fantastic memories of fronting The Specials and Fun Boy Three and creating history. Terry Hall, take it easy.

Did Terry Hall Die In Hospital?

The Specials, Terry Hall’s band, have confirmed his passing at the age of 63. The frontman of the Coventry band and a pioneer in music, Hall, passed away on Monday, according to the group.

The band claims that the 63-year-“brief old’s illness” was the cause of death. Hall served as Fun Boy Three’s lead singer as well.

The band has also asked that the star’s family’s privacy be respected. Last night, tributes were led by bandmate Neville Staple. 

We knew Terry had been ill, but until lately, we didn’t realize how seriously ill, Staple wrote on Twitter. We have only just confirmed a few collaborative music licensing deals for 2023.
