Thanasis Antetokounmpo, nicknamed “Thanasis,” is a professional basketball player from Greece and Nigeria.
He is a member of the Milwaukee Bucks basketball team in the NBA.
He is 6 feet 7 inches tall and plays both small forward and power forward positions.
Thanasis is the older brother of NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo and two other basketball-playing brothers, Kostas and Alex.
In 2021, Thanasis achieved victory in the NBA, securing a championship with the Milwaukee Bucks.
He has represented the Greek national basketball team in several international tournaments, including the 2016 Olympic Qualifying Tournament, EuroBasket 2017, and 2019 FIBA World Cup qualifications.

Antetokounmpo was born in 1992 in Athens, Greece, to Nigerian parents, Charles and Veronica Antetokounmpo.
He was the second son out of five born to the couple. His younger brother, Giannis, has become a very successful player in the NBA.
Thanasis started playing organised youth basketball with the junior teams of the local Greek club Filathlitikos in 2008, when he was around 16 years old.
He progressed through their development programme, eventually reaching the senior men’s team.
Also, he played with Filathlitikos in the semi-professional fourth division of Greece in the 2010–2011 season as an 18-year-old.
The next season, he helped the team gain promotion to the third division of Greek basketball for the 2011–2012 season.
His talents were clear from an early age, as he continued to rapidly improve against older and more experienced competition.
Although not yet a professional, his development through the Filathlitikos club system allowed Thanasis to test himself and gain valuable experience before embarking on greater opportunities in professional basketball.
