According to the Alameda District Attorney’s Office, a 41-year-old woman has been accused of discharging a pistol in the air and threatening a mother and kid at Strawberry Creek Park this summer.
Tiffany Payne was arrested at her Bay Point residence on Tuesday and charged with criminal threats, including unlawfully firing a handgun with gross negligence, deliberately harming a child, and a criminal enhancement for using a weapon to commit a crime.
According to Berkeley Police, the incident occurred on August 29 in the city’s Strawberry Creek Park neighborhood. On the 2200 block of Bonar Street, a woman named Tiffany Payne allegedly approached a 5-year-old boy and started bothering him.
Investigators identified the suspect after interviewing witnesses and studying surveillance footage from the area. Detectives captured the suspect on November 29 after serving a search warrant at her Bay Point House. They also found a loaded handgun stolen during an Oakland robbery.

According to court filings, Payne admitted to the ******** on Berkeley’s Bonar Street. The Hercules Police Department also wanted her for a different handgun possession charge.
She was charged with Unlawful Firearm Discharge. Illegally discharging a firearm is a Class 6 felony under ARS 13-3107. The individual must have fired a weapon within the boundaries of a municipality with criminal carelessness.
She was subsequently accused of making criminal threats, including using a gun carelessly, intentionally harming a child, and committing a felony while possessing a firearm.
According to Berkeley Police, the incident occurred in a driveway between two apartment complexes flogging Strawberry Creek. Several kids were present when the ******** occurred, and the gunfire might have hurt them.

According to court filings, Payne approached a 5-year-old kid at 4 pm on August 29 and attempted to deliver the youngster suspected marijuana in a driveway between two apartment complexes bordering Strawberry Creek Park on the 2200 block of Bonar Street.
According to the criminal complaint, the kid’s mother approached Payne, who took out a revolver and aimed it at the mother’s head from a short distance away.
Then, according to the complaint, Payne shot the pistol into the air and declared, “The next one is for you,” before threatening to shoot the mother.
