Tory Lanez mugshots that surfaced online following his conviction last December have the internet cracking up.
Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in December 2022. The musician was arrested in July 2020 in the Hollywood Hills.
He was charged with possessing a concealed weapon. Fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion was also in his vehicle with a foot wound, which she claimed to be a gunshot wound.
Tory Lanez’s arrest gained massive attention from the general public. Three weeks after his conviction, the singer’s mugshot was released.
Despite the verdict and his crime, the rapper was smiling in the image. As a result, Tory Lanez’s mugshot went viral.

Tory Lanez Mugshot Went Viral
Three weeks after Tory Lanez was convicted for shooting fellow rap artist Megan Thee Stallion, an alleged mugshot surfaced online.
While he was waiting for the sentencing of 22 years and eight months in jail, his apparent mugshot took the internet by storm.
Several of his alleged mugshots depicts him grinning freely, which has the internet cracking up. However, one should note that the picture is not an official mugshot of the Canadian music artist.
One Twitter user asked, “Why does Tory Lanez’s mugshot look like a Carlton Banks,” while another added, “Why does Tory Lanez’s mugshot look like he just took his senior picture?”
Another adept Photoshop user posed edited pictures of the rapper, adding a Batman helmet and some Los Angeles Lakers apparel on Lanez.
Furthermore, the viral images of Megan Thee Stallion’s bullet-riddled feet that went viral the day before were followed by X-rays that revealed several gunshot pieces trapped in her feet.
The most recent round of images, acquired by TMZ, also includes images of the shotgun and Tory’s SUV’s bloodied back seat from the night of the incident.
Tory Lanez Arrest Charges: Why Was He Arrested?
Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion reportedly had a fight in July 2020 as they were leaving a party in the Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.
The authorities were summoned to the scene for reports of a fight in a vehicle.
Megan Thee Stallion posted on Instagram many weeks after the incident that she had been shot, and she later named Lanez as the assailant.
Despite first telling police officers she had injured herself on shattered glass, she admitted under oath that Lanez had shot her in the foot.
“I couldn’t walk for a while,” she said in court. “My nerves are still damaged. My left foot’s side seems numb to me. Even though the backs of my feet are usually painful, I keep going,” claimed the female musical artist.
Tory Lanez Request For New Trial Has Been Rejected
Tory Lanez, who is awaiting sentencing in jail, has been denied a new trial after being found guilty last December.
L.A. Superior Court Judge, David Herriford, rejected the musician’s request for a new trial.
The singer was found guilty of carrying a loaded, possessing an unregistered firearm and assault with a semiautomatic weapon.
The rapper’s sentencing date isn’t scheduled. He has been imprisoned since the conviction in December and could spend up to 22 years andeight8 months behind bars if given the maximum sentence on each charge.
Similar to other celebrity trials, there was a lot of discussion and conjecture about the shooting case on social media. Fans of Stallion referred to people defending Lanez as “misogynoir.”
The idea was also a part of Lanez’s argument; he claimed that Megan Thee Stallion had accused him wrongly out of envy.
The night of the shooting, Harris, who was also in the car, allegedly got into a fight about him and other men. Well-known bloggers and entertainment websites have also spread incorrect information regarding the case.
