Born on 7 March 1988, Valentina Shevchenko was welcomed to the world by her parents, Elena and Anatoly Shevchenko. She has an elder sister, Antonina Shevchenko.
Her mother, Elena, is the current president of the national Muay Thai association in Kyrgyzstan. Mrs. Shevchenko fought in the Muay Thai World Championships at 50 and had previously won many titles in the country.
The UFC professional once said that she is so proud of her mother, and she motivates her. Elena was the one who encouraged her two daughters to pursue their careers in mixed martial art.
On the other hand, during the cold war, Valentina’s Father, Anatoly, reportedly worked in the Soviet Navy’s Pacific Fleet for a few years. Later, Anatoly pursued his football career and played for Kyrgyzstan’s national team.
