Andrew Tate, his brother Tristan were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking.

Andrew Tate, a British-American kickboxer known for his misogynistic online persona, was arrested in Romania on Thursday on charges of human trafficking and rape.

The arrest was part of an investigation into organized crime, human trafficking, and rape by Romania's Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT).

Four suspects were involved in the case, two of whom were Romanian and two British citizens.

The suspects are accused of keeping at least six women captive in houses near Bucharest,

Andrew Tate's brother, Tristan, was also arrested in connection with the case.

The suspects are accused of using the "loverboy method" to lure women to lavish villas in Romania under the pretense of a romantic relationship.

The women were allegedly kept in a small studio and forced to work as pornographic models for OnlyFans and other websites.

The scheme was discovered when one of the victims, an American woman, was able to send her location to her boyfriend, who alerted the U.S. Embassy. 

The victims were threatened with physical violence and mental coercion.

When authorities raided the suspects' homes, they found several victims, including an American woman and a young woman from Mldova.
