In contrast, Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1929.

He was the son of a Baptist minister and a teacher before joining the Civil Rights Movement.

He rose to fame after delivering the "I Have a Dream" speech at the 1963 March on Washington and taking part in the integration of Montgomery, Alabama's public transportation system.
