In an interview, the Creighton Bluejays assistant coach said that Ryan’s presence alone impacts the team. Sunday’s loss was the fourth straight loss of CU. As a result, their dream year is likely to become an uphill climb.

As Creighton University lost the match to Brigham Young University (BYU) by more than 20 boards, Ryan Kalkbrenner didn’t just look like a significant player but the irreplaceable one.

In March 2022, Creighton Center suffered a knee injury during the first-round game in the NCAA Tournament’s 72-69 overtime victory over San Diego State.

As a result, the basketball player missed the rest of the tournament. He was expected to recover in two or three months.

The Center didn’t put any weight on the leg, and he was helped to move out of the court. During the team’s locker room celebration, he was in a wheelchair.
