The New York Giants secured a long-term contract with quarterback Daniel Jones just before the buzzer went off.
Sources informed NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo that Jones and the Giants agreed to a four-year deal worth $160 million.
The deal includes $35 million in extra incentives and $82 million for the first two years, with a $19 million cap number for the first year.
The Giants confirmed the four-year agreement at a later time. The contract was finalized just moments before the NFL’s franchise tag deadline.
This allowed the Giants to prevent star running back Saquon Barkley from becoming a free agent.
