Her reporting revealed dangers parents frequently were unaware of, including those associated with keyless ignitions, backup driving, carbon monoxide threats, and hidden threats in widely popular children’s toys.
Parker participated in the 2016 launch of “NBC 5 Responds,” a brand-new division tasked with assisting viewers in resolving their customer service issues on a case-by-case basis with no call going unanswered.
Her reporting has resulted in more governmental monitoring, and financial protections for the general public, and the unit has now recovered more than $3.5 million for customers throughout Illinois and Indiana.

She said, “I’ll admit that during my 27 years here, I may have occasionally been long-winded in my reports for the single reason: your stories have been nothing short of fascinating, engaging, compelling, and sometimes infuriating.”
The reporter thanked people for trusting them with their most sensitive data. She assured that N.B.C. 5 Responds would be in great hands with producer Tom Jones and photojournalist Ron Zachara.
Furthermore, Lisa said she thanked many people, especially her longtime partner, producer and friend Robin Green, photographer Mark Ringo, recently retired Vice President of News Frnd Whittaker, she enters and B.F.F. Carol Marin.
As for her education, Lisa Parker holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Northwestern University.
