He also Tweeted about it on his official Twitter account. The former White House press secretary has been hosting Newsmax’s show Spircer & Co with Lyndsay Keith since March 2020.

After Greta Van Susteren joined the news station last year, the political talk show was moved to 5 pm.

As per the reporters, the Newsmax host is leaving the station after the contract negotiations reportedly fell apart.

Spicer said it was time for him to move on to a new challenge, adventure, and opportunity to serve the American people. The former government official asked his followers to stay in touch to be the first ones to learn about his next career move.

Spicer joined the Chris Ruddy-founded conservative cable news outlet in 2020 and rapidly made a name for himself as a critical component of the outlet’s consistently pro-Trump programming.

To create a place for a new show presented by cable news veteran Greta Van Susteren, who previously worked at MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, he was moved from 6 pm last year.

Spicer was appointed as the Trump administration’s first press secretary in December 2016 and is best known to the general public for that role.

Eight months later, he announced his resignation from the position. At the end of August 2017, he ultimately left the government.

During that period, Spicer had a hostile relationship with the media, especially Jim Acosta of CNN. In the first half of 2017, TVNewser published numerous articles about their heated exchanges at live news conferences.

Sean Spicer was born to his parents – Kathryn and Michael William Spicer. The Spicer family lived in Port Washington, and the television personality grew up in the East Bay area of Rhode Island.

His late father, Michael William Spicer, worked as an insurance agent. On the other hand, his mother works at the East Asian studied department at Brown University as their department manager.

The renowned host married his wife, Rebecca Miller, on 13 November 2004. The smitten couple has two kids. Mrs. Spicer serves for the National Beer Wholesalers Association as senior vice president of communications and public affairs.
