Mark initiated his radio career in the 1980s at Voice of Wits college radio. In 1995, he joined 5FM but resigned from 5 FM in 2003.
Later, the radio host began working for Johannesburg’s 94.7 Highveld Stereo. In October 2007, Pilgrim conducted a charting program that was concurrently broadcast on two radio stations (KFM and 94.7).
