Katie Pladl Mother name is Alyssa Pladl. Alyssa Gracia, then 15, and Steven Pladl, then 20, connected online in 1995. They began dating, and soon after, Alyssa fell pregnant.
In January 1998, she gave birth to a baby girl they called Denise. The couple was young and needy then, and according to Alyssa, Steven was violent with their little daughter.
Steven, according to her, would pinch their infant daughter until her body was completely black and blue. Despite everything, Alyssa stuck by Steven and eventually got married to him.
But when Denise was eight months old, Alyssa decided to give her up for adoption out of concern that her daughter might not have a healthy childhood.
Katie Fusco became Denise’s new name once Anthony adopted her. She relocated to Dutchess County, New York, home of Anthony and Kelly.
Katie was cared for by loving foster parents who treated her like one of their own.

At Dover High School, Katie developed into a gifted student who excelled at creating comic strips. She intended to go to college and work in digital advertising after graduation.
In January 2016, Katie turned 18 and started to wonder who her birth parents were. After finding them on social media, she searched for her true parents and messaged Alyssa and Steven.
Her reunion with her parents made her parents joyful. After graduating, Katie intended to attend the nearby community college but ultimately decided to move in with her biological parents.
The union of Steven and Alyssa was already in jeopardy. Before Katie arrived, the couple had been using separate beds for several months.
She even told Katie that when she was a baby, her biological Father had abused her, but Katie did not give it any thought.

Alyssa learned that Katie and Steven had been having extramarital affairs and that Katie was pregnant in May 2017.
