The Villanova University graduate completed his collegiate career with the institution’s men’s basketball team, Villanova Wildcats. His team won the national championship in 2016 and 2018.

Milwaukee Bucks drafted him in the 2018 NBA Draft with the 17th overall pick. He has played with four teams since his NBA debut in 2018.

Donte DiVincenzo was born in Newark, Delaware, to his parents. He has one elder brother, John A DiVincenzo.

As of 2023, the Golden State Warriors point guard is 26 years old. On the other hand, the birth details of Donte’s elder brother are unknown.

Looking at the pictures, we can assume that the DiVincenzo brothers have around five years of the age gap. As it is just an assumption, it might differ from the actual age gap between the basketball player and his elder sibling.

His father is a former basketball coach at a middle school who help young Donte to develop basketball skills during his formative years.

DiVincenzo’s mother reportedly works as a real estate agent. The point guard grew up with his family, surrounded by love and support.

He developed an interest in sports in the early days. Donte initially played football but later switched to basketball at the Salesianum School.

DiVincenzo remained dedicated to honing his basketball skills throughout high school. He quickly advanced and gave his all after transferring to Salesianum School.

He led his Salesianum School team to two state championships (consecutive). He participated in the Nike EYBL for Team Final as a junior, averaging 15.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.

The talented player also averaged 22.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per match during his senior year. In 2015, he was selected the Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year by the Delaware Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association.

Donte DiVincenzo Career

Donte enrolled in Villanova University after high school and became a member of the Wildcats.

Sadly, he had to step back due to a foot injury after just nine games and missed the rest of his first season. But his comeback was mindblowing.

Donte was named to the Big East’s All-Freshman team the same year. He also received a spot on the Philadelphia Big Five Rookie of the Year list.

Soon after, Wildcats defeated Michigan in the NCAA Championship game with a career-high 31 points. DiVincenzo was named the NCAA Final Four’s Top Players.

Donte played for Milwaukee Bucks from 2018 to 2022 before being traded to the Sacramento Kings. He has been playing for Golden State Warriors after signing a two-year contract worth $9.3 million on 8 July 2022.
