The CBI described their methods and accused them of crimes covered by Sections 120B (conspiracy) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC, Sections 7 (taking gratification), and Sections 13(2) (criminal misconduct) read in conjunction with 13(1)(d) (pecuniary advantage) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
