He got training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London from 1953 to 1956.

After theater appearances in Julius Caesar and Long Day’s Journey into Night, the veteran Actor made his West End debut in A Passage to India at the Comedy Theatre from 20 April to 3 December 1960.

How Did Zia Mohyeddin Die?

Zia Mohyeddin died on 13 February 2023 at the age of 91. Various media outlets reported that the actor-filmmaker was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karachi.

He had a fever and severe abdominal pain. Later ultrasound revealed that he had some intestinal issues. Following the surgery, Zia was shifted to the ICU ward of the hospital.

Today after the Zuhr prayer, the funeral prayer for the late Zia Mohyeddin will be recited in Imam bargah Yasrab in Defense Phase 4.
