Christy Bautista – a resident of Virginia -went to Washington, D.C., for a concert. However, she was stabbed fatally by a stranger at Ivy City Hotel on 31 March 2023.
The authorities and reports say that the 31-year-old suffered thirty sharp force injuries. She was attacked less than an hour after entering the Ivy City Hotel.
According to court filings, Sydnor was seen entering the hotel room during the horrific stabbing on Friday, and video appeared to have captured sounds of a struggle.
Before the door was closed, Bautista was heard yelling for assistance, as per court records.
According to the station, a man who saw the victim before she was pulled back to the room dialed 911 and reported the situation.
Upon the arrival of cops, they found Christy Bautista with severe stab wounds. She would already be dead.

Christy Bautista Murder Suspect – George Sydnor Jr. Arrested
George Sydnor, 44-year-old, has been arrested in connection to the death of Christy Bautista.
The alleged murderer was found inside the hotel room, and his clothes and hands were covered in blood. He was reportedly trying to light a cigarette when cops arrived at the scene.
According to the documents, a huge kitchen knife with one half of its blade missing was discovered on one of the beds and the other half was discovered in Syndor’s jacket pocket.
Sydnor entered a not-guilty plea in court on Monday after being charged with first-degree murder. The suspect was held without bail after the court appearance on 3 April 2023.
The motive of the murder is still a mystery. Moreover, Christy Bautista’s alleged killer was released in January this year. Before that, he was in prison following attempted robbery charges.
Also, Sydnor was waiting for trial on another larceny charge in Prince George’s County in Maryland. However, he had been skipping court rates for both cases.
